Vacancy: Finance Manager

The Prague Civil Society Centre is hiring a Finance Manager to join its growing team. The Prague Civil Society Centre is a non-profit organisation supporting and empowering civil society and independent media across Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Position & Responsibilities: The Finance Manager will be part of the Finance and Administration team and will report to the Finance Director. Specifically, the Finance Manager will be responsible for:

•Preparing financial reporting for donors

•Reviewing cost allocation on an ongoing basis

•Supporting the preparation of the annual budget and performing monthly review of actual spending against the budget

•Taking part in the approval process of expenditures and their timely payment

•Supporting all staff on contractual/finance issues

•Taking part in  internal controls and compliance of the Centre

•Providing support during audits (statutory & donors)

Necessary Qualifications:

•University Degree in Economics, Accounting or other relevant field

• Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience

•Fluency in written and spoken English required

•Excellent computer skills (MS Office), and in particular MS Excel

•Strong organisational skills and ability to self-motivate

•Excellent communication and relationship building skills and creative approach to problem solving

•Proactive approach, reliability and adaptability

•Ability to work in multi-national team, patience and team spirit

•Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and dedication to the mission of the organisation

About the position:

The position is a full-time (40 hours per week) role based in our headquarters in central Prague. The role comes with a competitive salary and 25 days of annual leave.
