Vacancy: Digital Content Manager

This is a full-time job at our Prague office offering a competitive local salary.

A Bit about Us
At the Prague Civil Society Centre, we believe that for civil society to have an impact, activists must be deeply rooted in their communities and able to engage with the public and earn its support. We run a number of programmes to help civil society groups across Eastern Europe and Central Asia get better at this by hosting workshops, hackathons, internships and design sprints, among other programmes. These happen mainly offline, because we believe in the importance of personal interaction in building trust and relationships that last beyond a single project. However, as the demand for our programmes continues to grow, we’d like to develop online courses and digital content to give people access to the parts of our programmes that can be meaningfully shared online.

What Are We Looking For?
Though our focus is on our offline programmes, we realize there are limits to how many people we can engage with personally. Therefore, we need to build and effective, meaningful online dimension to what we do offline. We’ve all seen sophisticated apps with amazing functionality and just a handful of downloads, or high-production videos with thousands of views of three seconds on average. We don’t want that. What we’re looking for will take a lot of learning, prototyping, piloting, collecting feedback and readjusting. Our online content will have to be developed in collaboration with the rest of our team, as well as cutting-edge media and online educational initiatives in our region. You’ll engage with tech, creatives, and civil society, which will require an understanding of all three worlds.
You’ll need to:
• have experience producing digital content either in media, education or civic initiatives
• be able to think strategically to select the right content for the right audience
• possess good editorial judgement and a sense of various communication styles
• be ready to experiment with various formats and unorthodox solutions
• Speak Russian and English fluently

Think you’re up to the challenge? Drop us your CV (no more than 2 pages) and motivation letter (up to 2 pages) at by September 20, 2019. Due to the high volume of applications, we’ll only be able to respond to those candidates who are shortlisted.
