Grants Finance Officer

Prague Civil Society Centre is a non-profit organisation supporting and empowering civil society and independent media in Eastern and Central Europe, the South Caucasus, and Central Asia. Whether in the form of grants, capacity building, or networking opportunities.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Review and assess grantees’ budgets and advise the Grants team on the standards of the expenditures

• Review partners’ financial reports (including supporting documents) and prepare reports for the programmatic team on the findings

• Assist with risk assessment of the grantees and develop risk-based monitoring plans

• Monitor compliance with internal financial guidelines

• Monitor compliance with donor´s financial requirements

• Other tasks related to grants administration

Qualifications and requirements:

• A university degree in a relevant field is an asset

• Relevant working experience, in particular, experience in grant financial management and/or financial reporting of grants is an asset

• Fluency in written and spoken English is required

• Excellent computer skills (MS Office), in particular MS Excel

• Well-organised, detail-oriented person with strong analytical skills

• Proactivity, ability to work independently and prioritise tasks

• Reliability and accuracy

• Ability to work in a multi-national team, patience and team spirit

The starting salary for this position is CZK 40,000 for full-time employment and can be up to CZK 45,000 based on the candidate’s relevant experience.
