The Prague Civil Society Centre is a non-profit organisation supporting and empowering civil society and independent media in Eastern and Central Europe, the South Caucasus, and Central Asia. As an Event Organiser, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of events from the very beginning to the very end. Under the supervision of the Grants & Events Officer, you will identify requirements for each event: from small get-togethers for 20 people to large events for up to 400 participants in different locations, including abroad.

This role requires exceptional project management skills, a customer-oriented approach, and the ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines.

Tasks and responsibilities:
• Coordinating events together with the responsible Programme Officer, including developing detailed project timelines and expected budgets
• Scouting venues, suppliers, and contractors, and negotiating the prices and terms of rental following the procurement procedures
• Communication with suppliers (accommodation, travel arrangements, catering, technological services, merchandise) while taking into consideration the level of security, budget, and number of participants
• Ensuring that insurance, legal, health, and safety rules are followed
• Producing post-event evaluation

Qualifications and requirements:
• Proven experience in event planning and/or project management
• Financial management skills
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to take initiative
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including negotiation skills
• Flexibility to travel and work on-site at events
• Good command of English (at least B2 level)
• Good command of Czech (at least C1 level)
• Knowledge of Russian is an asset
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

The starting salary for this position is CZK 38,000 for full-time employment and can be up to CZK 45,000 based on the candidate’s experience with the possibility of a raise after the probation period.
