What: A workshop on creating visual products for NGOs from Easter Europe and Central Asia
When: 23-26 August 2018
Who can apply: NGOs, activist groups, designers, illustrators & animators
What is “Всёясно! 2018”?
“Всеясно” (“all clear”) – 8 is a workshop that brings together NGOs, activists and sociologists. It gives them an opportunity to meet and work on their projects together with designers, illustrators and animators. Design Bureau Verstak and the Prague Civil Society Center offer this chance to NGOs wishing to make a difficult issue accessible to a wide audience and to interested creative professionals. The workshop will take place in Prague at the end of August.
How does it work?
We will select 8 professional independent NGOs that want to create a visual communication product for their target audience. We will also select 8 illustrators, designers, and animators. The 16 participants will be then divided into 8 teams. The teams will have 4 days to come up with projects and create their prototypes. A group of 5 producers (PR and social media specialists, journalists and bloggers) will work with all the teams and help choose the right format of the communication product. They will also assist in developing a strategy for the distribution of the final product.
The final product can be anything which is engaging and accessible to a wider audience, such as a mobile game specifying the rules one should follow during a rally; a series of GIFs about an anti-discrimination law; an investigative journalism piece presented as an interactive illustration; or a short video about decentralisation reform. The best projects will receive small grants to fund their production.
